I'm happy to see them really committing to this. I didn't think I would be all that interested, but I will sure give it a go. Personally I wouldn't mind quality of life improvements and most of my friend don't really care for a 100% authentic vanilla experience but they want the old zones and world, a game world pre-Cataclysm but have no requirement for it being "authentic" to World of Warcraft Patch 1.12.2.![]()
Nov 14 social questions, and a few others Hello! so i played wow 7 years ago, and remember it being really social. People would chat or answer questions. But after restarting a few days ago I've gone from lvl 1 to lvl 23 without getting a single reply to the odd question i've had. i'm not overdoing it or anything.. Do people not use the general chat at all? Is the game more group oriented now? Have i missed some setting? other than that - what does the well rested thing mean, and should I be using 2 pets for my hunter. Thanks for the help! OxfordEichi5 Nov 14
Nov 9 Trial and veteran account restrictions Okay so this is something that Definitely needs to be brought to the attention of the entirety of the player base. The Restrictions for anyone who is on a trial account are as follows. - Characters that are created cannot be leveled beyond 20. (Keep in mind the max level today is 120.) - The maximum amount of gold your characters can carry is 10 gold. - The maximum amount of skill you can obtain in any profession is 100. - The only people who can see you /says and /emotes are any players who are not 10 levels above your own level. (This means the maximum level players can be before the can no longer see your emotes or /says is 31.) - The only players a trial account user can whisper, is anyone who happens to have that specific character on their friends list. - Players of a Trial account are not allowed to make use of Auction houses, Mailboxes, or any form of trading between players. - Trial account players cannot join or create any guilds. - Trial account players are unable to access Trade, Local defense, or General chats in any zone. - Trial account players are unable to invite people into parties. - No pet battling. ... For Veteran Account players, the only difference is that a Veteran account can join a guild that one of their other characters is already in. The reason this is being posted is simple. It has been very rare for me to be able to find anyone who understands the idea of a level 4 not having says or Emote during RP because of them being a Trial or Veteran account. Players who do not understand this, end up getting offended with the Trial or Veteran account owner even though they have no control over these restriction. This needs to stop. It's hard enough already as a player who is using a restricted account without players who are not attempting to understand the situation, getting hostile towards these players and completely ruining the game for our newer and Veteran players. Before a GM tries to shoot this down if they have a reason to... Keep this in mind. It's true that these users who use Trial or Veteran accounts are not paying anything, but they are still players and should be respected just as much as the players who do pay. I'm not saying remove the limitations... make people aware of the restrictions. There are players who don't know about them simply because they never had to put up with it. This makes them ignorant towards those players who do use those trial and veteran accounts and will not think twice about putting them down for something they have no control over. You can tell them to report those player all you like, but at the end of the day..... There are a lot of players who don't know about them. MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THE RESTRICTIONS. The World of Warcraft is going back to its roots with WoW Classic. Giving players the chance to return to the game as it was around the time of its launch, WoW Classic is set to launch worldwide on August 27. However, ahead of its imminent release, the team at Blizzard are offering a closed beta test for WoW Classic, and we've got all the details players need to jump in on the action.

When it comes to levelling the Priest Class from 1-60 fast, XP grinding locations is only half the battle. You will need to make sure your weapon does enough DPS so that you can clear these mobs fast enough, it should also be noted that monster should be around your level to make sure to gain the 100% XP Reward. The Level your character should be before you start that specific location will be indicated to left in a Blue Color for Alliance [Lvl 35-39] and the Orange Color for Horde [Lvl 35-39]. The Mobs you are looking for in that specific area names are Bolded [Mob Name].
Some quests in my guide are marked as "SKIP" and colored in red. These quests are simply either too hard to solo or not worth the XP/time and are skipped. My guide will only list SKIPPED quests if the quest is a direct follow up after completing a quest, not one that you have to click the NPC again to get it. If you hover over the skipped quests, it will give info on why it is skipped in the guide (unless that info is already listed directly in the guide text).

Beginning May 15, select WoW players will be invited to participate in a small-scale, focused closed beta test. Players will also get a chance to help put our servers and technology through their paces in a series of stress tests running from May through July—you can opt in now through Account Management and select the WoW Classic beta. Thanks so much for the replies. I think I am somewhat of a collector/roster builder. I go around doing the dailies but I also like buying pets just for their looks. I watched hazelnutty on youtube last night. I think I will focus on doing the expeditions when I have time to get all the pets that come from that. Then I will go back and do old raids like Eekwibble suggested.![]()

Nov 7 Game buying guide for confused ppl like me For those of you who were confused as i was, this is about buying the game and what you get so for 15$ subscription - you get all past expansion and 1 month of game time for battle for azeroth (49.99$) - you get the newest expansion for WoW complete collection (59.99) - Newest expansion / 1 month of game time / 110 boost(1x only) I was confused for awhile but now i know that the 49.99$ is the Worst deal ever. I am going to buy some game time for now, and jump up to the 60$ bundle later. The boost is a 60$ value / 1 month of wow 15$ value / and the expansion is a 50$. TOTAL is : 125$ value for 60$. I'm a regular poster on this forum, and one of the most common threads is the classic "I don't know what class/race to be" thread. The main problem with these threads is that the original poster often doesn't give readers enough information to make any suggestions. Help us out, and we'll try to help you :) This is a guide on how to write a detailed "Help me find a class/race" thread. This is not a guide on how to find the right class/race...just on how to ask for help about it. Both sections here can have some gray area, so don't be afraid to give us more information. It's just that veteran WoW players usually know a bit more about the classes themselves so they have more background. They also know more terminology, so it's easier to interrogate them. Seriously, you can live to hit the level cap. All classes have this. PvP viability. Again, all classes have this. Doesn't matter unless you're twinking. Raid/group desirability. The only reason you'd be refused from a group is because 1) you're undergeared/bad or 2) they have a lot of that class already. Everyone is viable - DPS are balanced, healers are balanced, tanks are balanced. You want the "best" class/race combo. There isn't a best combo or a best class or a best race. It doesn't exist. Most OP (overpowered) class. Blizzard changes the class balance so much that leveling something purely to be "overpowered" is a futile idea. By the time you hit level cap, the balance would have shifted. Right now there ISN'T a super godly class anyway. Most fun class. I want a bumper sticker that says "Fun is subjective." What I think is fun might not be your cup of tea, so making a good suggestion for you based on "fun" isn't going to be accurate. Is a temporary one okay with you? Or does it not matter if you have a pet? Are you partial to cloth wearers or do you want a little more bulk in your armor? What have you played in other games before? Maybe you played a caster in another game and liked it, or have a fondness for barbarians/warriors. WoW might have a rough equivalent for you! Do you want to be able to heal yourself and others, or are you okay with lacking those spells? Which is your preference: attacking enemies from a distance or being up in their faces? Are you the sneaky type or do you take pleasure ripping out internal organs as a greeting right off the bat? Do you want to be on the front lines with a shield or watching over your group to keep them safe? Will you be leveling with a friend or mostly on your own? If you're doing it with a friend, what are they planning to level, or have they not decided yet? Have you read about classes at all yet? If so, what stands out as interesting to you? Have you tried any classes already? Are you interested in the lore or story of Warcraft? Some classes have a lot of easily-absorbed lore while others are a little "less detailed" in their history. Interested in roleplaying at all? This goes with the previous question, but some races/classes are easier to roleplay as a newbie than others (with lots of history to adhere to). Do any of the races stick out to you as being attractive?
